Edwin M. Cook (“Win”) is a third-generation lawyer and the owner of Edwin Cook Law, LLC, an estate planning law firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. Win provides a full spectrum of estate planning services for his clients, including the preparation of wills and trusts, probate and trust administration, business succession planning, and elder law planning. For a select number of clients, Win also handles complex fiduciary and business litigation matters, including business partnership disputes, family business disputes, and banking litigation.
Prior to founding his own law firm, Win practiced for eight years at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, LLP (formerly Powell Goldstein), one of the largest law firms in the world.
Win has lived in the Atlanta area since graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2008 and is dedicated to the practice of law as a profession. He actively contributes to several bar organizations, including the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia, where he serves on the statewide Lawyer Wellness Committee.
Win also regularly engages in community leadership and philanthropic efforts. He currently serves as the board chair for the Georgia board of Youth Villages, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping children with emotional and behavioral issues. He also volunteers with his wife, Stephanie, in the children’s ministry of Village Church of East Atlanta, where he is a member.
Win and his wife are the proud parents of two young sons. When he is not helping his clients with estate planning, he enjoys sailing, biking, reading, watching college football, cooking, attending standup comedy, and playing guitar.
